I had a new front door installed in 2013 by this company and just recently had problems with not being able to lock the door from the outside. On the same day of my call to them their technicians came to the property and fitted a new lock barrel and it now works fine. They also gave me some advice about keeping the door lubricated to avoid problems in the future.

Paid a deposit in August to have a Chartwell green Composite door with a leaded light window in and matching windows either side and Chartwell green panels at the bottom .Unfortunately when it was fitted in November the order was completely wrong and to top it off the lead was damaged,there was paint coming off the door which they gave me paint to touch it up with and the black rubber was split.Had to wait until February for the right order to be installed and yet again paint is coming off this door. They are not willing to replace the door again but want to touch it up with paint !! So after 7 months I am still waiting and the problem is still ongoing.I would not recommend . Very dissatisfied Customer.

BWC/ Trading Standards Approved scheme response - We have been in contact with the Window Centre regarding this matter. They state that they take all customer care issues seriously, as is evidenced by their previous good feedback. They have being trying to resolve this matter with the customer for many months. The faults described are minor, commonly occur on installation and are usually resolved through the application of specialist paint supplied by the manufacturer for this purpose. The Window Centre remain keen to resolve this and have offered to repair any paintwork, replace the handle in the unlikely event this is faulty and to replace any damaged rubber gaskets required. In addition, and as recognition of any inconvenience or dissatisfaction to the customer, they have made a significant reduction on the majority of the contract price that currently that remains unpaid for the new door supplied.
