Such a pleasant, customer-friendly and efficient service. Communication and workmanship faultless. (Reviewed October 2022)
Matt recently renovated and restored the sash windows in our Grade II listed home in Tavistock. His work was done promptly and to a high standard. He communicated very well and was always very happy and friendly - it was a pleasure to have him work in our home and we were very happy with the end result - would 100% recommend him. I concur with the other reviews. Matt renovated and draft-proofed 3 pre-1840s sash windows for us last summer. The work has transformed the house, which was considerably warmer and less drafty than usual last winter. It only took us 27yrs to get round to having the work done! Would happily recommend. Excellent and reliable service and workmanship. (Reviewed July 2020)
A most trustworthy and professional manner complemented by a very considerate and friendly service (Reviewed February 2020)
Matt Stevens repaired and renovated a pair of large sash windows for me last summer. My house is grade two listed so any alterations have to remain in keeping. The windows had been rather dilapidated and the sashes on both were broken. Matt did a wonderful job, the timber frames rubbed down and painted and the sashes replaced. I have no hesitation in recommending him. M. Johansen. Exeter. (Reviewed February 2020)
The initial visit and quote was very quick and the work easy to schedule. It was carried out in a very professional way despite the stormy weather. Matt explained the process well and the house was left clean and tidy following the visit. What I imagined was a complicated job was carried out in an efficient and straightforward way. Would highly recommend. (Reviewed January 2020)
I would recommend the sash man. Matt has visited my grade 2 listed house a number of times to ease painted shut windows, add locks, replace cracked panes and refurbish sash windows that would not stay open etc. He has always been very prompt in responding to my e-mails or phone messages and has always provided quotes that he has worked to in terms of cost. These have been very clear on what is included/not included in terms of the scope of the work. He has also always arrived at agreed times and dates to conduct any work. I have been called away whilst Matt has been working in the house and have never had any issues leaving him working alone. (Reviewed January 2020)
