Simon and Ben plastered the inside of a conservatory we recently constructed. All walls and a vaulted ceiling, some of which was awkward to do in places. Excellent service. Simon and Ben were a pleasure to have in our home for the last 3 months. They were such clean tidy workers. Hosed the outside down every evening before they left. They worked with us so well, Making good suggestions to help us get the best from our extension. The standard of work was high class, including excellent plastering. Simon always let us know when he, or his associates were coming, and they turned up when he said they would. He kept us up to date at all points during the project, and let us know as soon as there were any issues. He also went on to find ways to fix those issues. The site was left neat and tidy. Simon and his team were happy to undertake this job even though our property is situated in a central and particularly busy location.

Working right on the pavement meant that the safety of pedestrians and road users was a constant concern, which they managed very well. We were very pleased that they arrived promptly, were polite, efficient and they achieved a good result.

At the end Simon showed photos of the finished porch and took great care to explain exactly what work had been done and made sure that we were happy with it.

Simon and Ben have done a fantastic job knocking through 2 rooms and replacing an old conservatory with a single storey extension for a kitchen-diner. Simon managed the project throughout and the organisation and attention to detail was fantastic.

We were kept informed of what work was going to be done and when they were expecting deliveries. With the exception of a day or so due to bad weather over the winter there were no delays and they made a huge effort to minimise noise and keep mess to a minimum.

Excellent workmanship in a tricky situation. Brickwork needed to match the existing house as did the pointing. Simon took great care in matching the bricks and showing us samples to ensure we were happy. He was also very particular in matching the cement colour, so that the brickwork didn't look out of place. Very tidy and efficient.

We have used Simon on a number of home improvement projects and have always found him trustworthy and reliable. He has always offered sound advice and has been punctual when arriving for work. He has always worked very hard and has always left the site clean and tidy. He has a friendly disposition and has always been helpful and found a way round problems. He has constructed a retaining wall for our conservatory, completed all of the first floor plastering to our loft conversion, created an en-suite bathroom, laid a large patio and paving slabs to our front walk ways. I have no hesitation in recommending Simon and his company for general building work, brickwork, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating and laying patios. Simon built a first class single storey extension on our house, which we now use as our main living room. He was meticulous, tidy, and respectful of us and our neighbours in ensuring that we suffered minimum inconvenience. A couple of minor snags arose after the work was completed, and after we had paid him, but he quickly resolved them without any fuss. We have no reservations in recommending him to anybody wanting an extension, and (if you raise your request via Simon), would be happy for any prospective customers to come and see his work.

I was extremely happy with the work carried out by Simon Barfoot. The job ran exactly to schedule from start to finish. I found Simon and any contractors that he used to be very professional, hard working and tidy. There were people on site every day and even on some weekends.

We found there to be a discrepancy on the architects drawings which Simon picked up and explained to us early in the build. He then guided us through the options available in a non complex and easy to understand way in order to allow us to move forward.
