It was a tricky job, and initially there was a mistake with the connection of the new roof with next door's roof that led to a leak, but the company came back and admitted its mistake and fixed the job free of charge. Given the cost of re-erecting scaffolding, many roofers would have blamed the poor standard of next door's roof and charged for fixing ours. But Peninsula and Lee Butcher obviously subscribe to ethical trading standards. (Reviewed November 2020)

After the storms a few days earlier I discovered a loose slate on my roof. I rang to ascertain a price prior to a visit, so took some photos on my phone. I had just sent them when I saw a Peninsula Roofing van outside, as they were in my area. The young men viewed the problem and rang Lee. Happy with the quoted price the tile was fixed there and then.
