Great service from Mark and his team in removing two sick trees from our estate. Arrived ahead of schedule, providing a very friendly, speedy service with absolutely no mess left on completion. The quality of work was, as always, totally professional. The customer relations were very good. My only negative was that the full team was not on hand until very late in the day, and so the work was completed as darkness was falling, which made me feel uneasy and I was not easily able to view the result. The team arrived on time and quickly sorted an unexpected access problem. They dealt brilliantly with a split branch that was resting over a greenhouse. We receive excellent and reliable service carried out on the agreed date. The work involved the pruning of hedges, some of which are very tall hedges. All hedges were very well cut and met our exacting requirements. All the hedge prunings were removed by Merritts and the garden was left clean and tidy. We have employed Merritts for a number of years. They use very good modern equipment. We have not taken up competitive estimates so it is difficult to comment on value for money. Mark and his team provided a very professional service, firstly in providing advice on various aspects of tree maintenance required at our property and secondly in dealing with the difficult removal of a very large beech tree, including tidying up the collateral damage caused to other trees when the beech tree was felled in an earlier storm. We were recommended by our next door Neighbor who had commissioned works on their own garden via Merritt Tree Specialists. As mature trees encroach on both gardens it made good sense to appoint the same contractor. We were not disappointed from start to finish - the communication through to the final site clearance was exemplary and each member of the onsite team were friendly courteous extremely well turned out and professional - the standard and range of equipment used on our large very difficult steeply terraced gardens was of the highest order and the site clearance faultless. We are very pleased with the work performed, which was the felling of a large Alder and 20 mature Leylandii trees.
We had a couple of special requests which the guys delivered against and exceeded expectations (we now have a nice rustic log garden seat!).
Care was taken to avoid damaging surrounding shrubs, and the grinding out of the tree stumps was thoroughly performed.
At the end the garden was left clean and tidy.
