The receptionist was not clear on things like 'call out charges, charges per hour etc' the charges were unreasonable, no value addition to service and the charge appeared random from the head and not standard.
Traders response 18/04/18:
This was an inquiry only into an emergency, same day attendance, to a heat pump system which had an intermittent fault of which the cause was unclear.
The hourly call out rate was explained but no fixed quote or timescale could be given over the phone until the exact nature of the fault was diagnosed and any part costs obtained as necessary. The rate quoted is in line with the industry standards for heat pump system investigation and remedial work and should not be compared to basic plumbing or electrical call out costs.
