Asked on a whim if they had any class 44/45/46 Peak diesels. They had a few, so bought 2 for my big birthday (60th) and was so happy with the service and price that i was telling everyone who would listen. They in turn bought 2 more and were also delighted. Normally I pop in this model shop as they have an extensive range, and offer a friendly service. I recently enquired about a Bachmann item that I was having difficulty obtaining in the Northeast of England. I received a very prompt reply, and they did indeed have the item I was after. Very happy with my purchase - a great model shop with abundant stock and very friendly and helpful owners/staff. Fast dispatch of my parcel and reasonable postage cost. As mentioned by an earlier reviewer, they're not a heavy discounter like the bigger 'factory' shops (you know who I mean) but they have the items that have mostly sold out elsewhere, and more!. I recently placed a couple of orders for fairly obscure bits and pieces (several £100's worth), not expecting to get everything, or anything very quickly but was delighted that even the most specialist bits of model railway accessories were all in stock and despatched immediately. Given this was the height of the pandemic, I was very impressed indeed - both orders (placed a couple of weeks apart) arrived within 3 days with 100% fulfilment. I know someone came in on their day off to get one of the larger orders out the door asap, it was really appreciated. The shop has a great range of stock & is well worth a visit if you are in Chelmsford, or a detour is you are nearby.

So I'd spent several days reading different opinions online about how best to configure & wire my point motors and whilst I learnt a lot there was no consensus. Popped into the shop to get what I thought I wanted and ended up discussing it with the guy behind the counter.
