I had missing slates on my roof which were second hand when the roof was renewed back in 1983.
I asked Ben to quote to rectify the existing roof and quote for a new one out of interest and for comparison which he did.
I went ahead with rectification of the existing roof since, as agreed with Ben, it was not yet life expired.
He did a great job. I was impressed that he is not at all heavy handed with only light tapping noises coming from the roof while he was working.
I might add that his was the only company who got back to me to quote the work and that includes other roofing companies on the Buy With Confidence website.

Ben originally quoted for some repairs to guttering at the back of my house but when he came to do the job it appeared that the person who had supposedly cleared the gutter last November had not done a very good job and the overflow problem was simply a blockage rather than misalignment of the gutter as we originally thought. Ben removed the top section of downpipe and cleaned out, reattached and then cleaned out the rest of the gutter and checked that all was flowing OK. He immediately adjusted the price appropriately.

We recently had rainwater leaking into a bedroom and asked around for recommendations for a roofer who was efficient and trustworthy. Unfortunately no recommendations so we were faced with the daunting prospect of finding somebody.
I'm sure we all fear that we may end up with someone who doesn't do a good job or makes an excessive charge so it was lucky for us that we found Ben Harmes. Ben was polite, friendly and efficiently diagnosed the problem and rectified it at a reasonable cost.
