The chairs I wanted were a bespoke modification of hand carved chairs on the website. Nick had to draw the chairs and then make the component parts before getting them carved.

We needed to replace a reproduction oak tv cabinet with a bespoke unit made to extremely tight specifications because of limited space. These were followed precisely and we are delighted with the final product which is beautifully made and fits into our room perfectly. Nick was very helpful throughout in difficult circumstances due to the restrictions imposed by lockdown. Unfortunately the order to our workshops was mislaid, a first for us I believe in over 10 years! However, once spotted the workshops pulled out all the stops and actually managed to get our clients bespoke TV stand completed within our 8-12 week guideline. Delivery was also completed (on this occasion personally between ourselves and our workshop over a 240 mile round trip) within the quoted usual 2 week time slot and, moreover, during the height of the COVID-19 Lockdown, which had caused our normal carriers to temporary cease all operations. We have always received excellent service and after-care from Nick Berry at Early Oak Reproductions. On this occasion, our table needed to be taken away for repair - this was done without fuss and with no charge. The only reason for giving a mark of 9, rather than 10, for the overall service is because the fixing screws which we definitely remember handing to the delivery crew (in a marked envelope) when they collected the table did not come back with the table when it was returned. They had gone missing. Nick Berry very quickly followed this up, checking with the delivery company and, when they couldn't be found, he immediately ordered new ones which arrived with us within a couple of days.
