Ivor did a lovely job plastering our fireplace, with lime render inside, ready for a wood stove, should we choose to fit one. He also rendered a large patch in another room where the old plaster had come away, and that now looks great.
Ivor talked through with me what I wanted to achieve with the fireplace and made suggestions as to how best to approach it, including putting a layer down at the base, ready for tiling.
