Just wanted to give a big shout out to Harrison Shaw and the team at Clyde Windows for saving our Christmas!. We got the long awaited go ahead to start our garage conversion only to find that the double glazed windows market is chockablock with orders and material shortages and we were looking at a two month wait for a new window.
I contacted Clyde Windows and they stepped up to the plate and got a window manufactured and ready for delivery in one week!. CWC working team guys were excellent and went over and above their remit on our build, yes there were a couple of minor issues that had to be addressed but this was done satisfactory to both parties with no hassle. Build was kept on schedule and was also kept to agreed budget, except for extra foundations that the structural engineer demanded that had not be costed for.
CWC quality of work was high and the team working on our extension were always polite and very helpful at all times.

Despite a delayed start I am delighted with the finished job. The roof of my conservatory was replaced and despite torrential rain the flooring, window ledges, etc were well protected. Our house had wooden framed single glazing sash & case windows and we were hoping to replace it with a similar but with double glazing and uPVC frames. We contacted several companies, including some national widely-recognised ones, for quotes and Clyde were competitive, but also were offering the best product and service.

The chap who came out to measure the windows was courteous, polite and professional. When we received the quotes for the work, we were given three options with very clear prices.

During fitting, Shug and his team were an absolute delight - lovely guys to have in your home, very professional and SO tidy. The finish was wonderful, and the house has retained its traditional look but is now much warmer, and I can actually open the windows!

This is the third time we've had Clyde to do a job for us (windows, doors and now conservatory roof). We had a conservatory installed 15 years ago and although there was nothing wrong with it we wanted it updated to a glass roof. Started looking for windows, fascias, soffits, gutters and a sunroom build early April 2015, with a clear understanding of what we were looking for.

Sought recommendations from family and friends, and across consumer web sites, before selecting six contractors to visit our home to price the works.

Despite ensuring we conveyed a level playing field to all bidders, we only received three similar quotes. One was extremely high, three seemingly around the same specification and price point, and two at unrealistically low prices with very little detail.

We returned to the three similar bidders in May, one of which was Clyde Windows & Construction, who helped us fully understand the features and benefits of the equipment we were buying, to satisfy ourselves that all our quotes were on a like for like basis, and we were not being mis-sold inferior products to reach a low price.

We decided to proceed with Clyde Windows & Construction by June, as not only did they offer the best quality product, at the best value, we had their assurance of one point of contact across the course of the job.

Works commenced quickly after order placement, with windows, fascias, soffits and gutters installed within a few weeks, whilst drawings were constructed and planning permission was sought for the sunroom build.

On that note, Clyde Windows took ownership of commissioning the Architect and making the planning application, where other parties proposed that we commission our own.

With planning permission in place, Clyde Windows were able to make a start on the sunroom extension. Their civil and building team arrived promptly each day, kept our home and garden tidy and the new building was quickly wind and water tight to allow their joiners, electricians and decorators continue with the internal works.

We were delighted that the build was completed by the end of November, six months from order placement.
From our very first contact with Clyde Windows they instilled our confidence, kept us informed of progress and their onward intentions. On the rare occasion where an outcome was not as we had been expecting, nothing was a problem that couldn't be put right.

The job was delivered on schedule, and on budget, and left us with a sense of satisfaction with the end result that I'm not sure we would have achieved with other contractors.

I would return to Clyde Windows and Construction for any future Window or Building works I was considering.

Following our agreement to commence the build of our single storey 26sqm extension in June 2017, we were promptly slotted into the Clyde Windows & Construction plan of works.
They were an absolute pleasure to have on site. All staff were extremely well mannered and very very tidy.
High quality materials and tools were used during the build.
Dax and his joiners suggested a change to the window design we had agreed with our architect and we are so pleased that we opted to go along with the suggestion. The roof line windows are now a focal point admired by all visitors.
The build took around 6 weeks to complete including a couple of days delay due to a typical Scottish rainy summer.
We were so pleased with the quality of the extension that we asked the same joinery team to rip out our old kitchen and build our new Howdens kitchen.
Again, we have not been disappointed. The old kitchen was removed with great care that we've been able to sell it on. The new kitchen looks amazing and has been fitted to perfection.
We were consulted throughout the build of both the extension and kitchen, which has also enabled us to have an input.
A big thank you to Dax and David for taking on the work and a massive thank you to Darren & Andy for an exceptional work ethic. They really felt like part of the family over the summer.
