We are new to the area and needed to find a plumber we could trust just from an internet search. My choice was based on the quality of their initial response and value for money. I was very impressed with all aspects of the transaction, they provided a fair quote and were able to come sooner than I had expected. I cannot recommend Christopher enough! After spending hours the previous evening trying to get pressure back in the boiler myself, watching tutorials online, I conceded that I'd need to call someone out in the morning. I found Christopher online and got a call back within 30 minutes. Rather than coming straight out, he first checked that it wasn't something he could talk me through on the phone. Customer accepted our detailed estimate. He requested extra work after we had started and instructed us to proceed when issues were brought to his attention, ie extra plumbing, pipe-work and boxing, larger tiled area over crooked walls/twisted window frame (he supplied non-matching, poor quality tiles). Customer monitored work as it progressed and authorised us to proceed each day. He declined the final invoice due to minor cosmetic issues. We were confident in our work but offered a generous financial goodwill gesture. This would easily enable the customer to pay his preferred installer to rectify the work to his complete satisfaction. We also encouraged him to contact Trading Standards; he did not do so until we pursued court action for the outstanding debt and he then accepted our offer of goodwill. (Reviewed May 2023)

My bathroom toilet wouldn't stop flushing. This has been a recurrent issue with this make of cistern, which is set in built-in furniture. Alex the plumbing engineer assessed the situation and suggested removing this cistern and replacing with a different brand of fitting that would be easier to service and repair in future. Christopher emailed the estimate for the work the same day and Alex was back a few days later to complete the work. This company do exactly what they say....always answer the phone, arrive on time and usually get someone out same day or within a day or two. Rang up in a panic as our combi-boiler had stopped working and we have a 5 day old baby needing the heating to be on! We were initially offered a same day appt but then Christopher talked me through a simple process over the phone which sorted the water pressure out and the boiler came back to life instantly. Christopher very kindly didn't charge us for this phone service. We've now booked Christopher to come and service the boiler and very much recommend anyone needing a plumber to contact Christopher. My heating/hot water Switchmaster 400 programmer was broken. The unit is totally obsolete and a replacement unit was therefore unobtainable. Christopher Plumbing, however, were able to identify and install a modern alternative, I am delighted. The unit supplied is better than the original one.

Christopher Plumbing arrived slightly earlier than the appointed time, The engineer brought the replacement unit with him and, despite considerable alterations being required to the wiring, was able to complete the work in good time.

Not only did Christopher Plumbing install and test the new programmer, but they showed me exactly how it worked and even took the trouble to set the on / off times to my requirements.

Booking was easy, I was asked to photograph the part of the toilet flush required, agreed the estimated cost and was given an appointment two days hence. On the day the plumber rang to say he was running ahead of time and asked if he could come early which was good. He came with all necessary equipment including bucket, his own towel which was impressive. He showed me the the faulty part before fitting the new one and explained the two ways in which the flush could be used and had cleared up any mess made before leaving. True to their word, this company really do answer the phone every time you ring. The service is attentive, friendly, very personable and I was accommodated very promptly indeed. The company that provides 24hr call out for my heating system had let me down. I contacted Christopher Plumbing Services, who had previously serviced the system, and they originally said they could not come until the following week. But actually they came to check the system on the Tuesday following the weekend when the system started to give problems and having identified the fault came back on the Thursday to fix it - which necessitated replacing the three-way valve for the heating system.
