Selected this company from Buy With Confidence to fix a small leak on a connection to my hot water cylinder and to give advice on the installation of a wet room.
They provided a realistic date when they could carry out the work and provided updates when they had the required replacement item.
They turned up on time. The work was excellent, reasonable in cost and the advice given on a wet room was very helpful.

Andy and his team were punctual,tidy , hardworking and reliable........in addition they were very pleasant .

In 2006 this contractor installed a full central heating system complete with boiler. In early 2020 that boiler needed replacing. No hesitation in choosing the same contractor - completed as promised and all on time. In June AJ Barnes just completed a full bathroom redo fabulously! I was recommended to this firm by a plumber we had for many years who has since retired and I have to say that I am extremely pleased with the final product. The time spent and the recommendations made by Mr Barnes were spot on. Having surveyed the job my self and the costs involved along with the advice from my friend it all fell into place with the system recommended by Mr Barnes.
During the extraction of my old system which was over 40 years old and the installation of the new one his staff worked extremely well with each other which in turn enabled them to finish the job in just over a day which was really good as the temperature dropped quite considerably on the night they finished. What a difference this has made!
I found all of them polite,cheerful, very communicative and willing to give me answers to the many questions I asked of them along with a good sense of humour.

Excellent quality of service from initial quote to completion of work. Due to previous plumbing issues thy had to problem solve routing of pipes which saved me a lot of money and disruption. Very polite and hard working staff who ensured disruption was kept to a minimum. I had tight timescales for work to be completed which they were very accommodating. Since installation of new boiler and rads, no issues and have not had to call them back. Now have them coming back to re fit my bathroom! Excellent service and thoroughly recommended. Great personal service from this family owned local company. Very friendly crew who were in and out in a day completing the job as per estimate plus a few other odd jobs that were done as a matter of course (including bricking up an old flue outlet hole through a wall which Jo undertook to sort out for me - much appreciated). They were extremely thorough in everything they did and where additional work was needed to be carried out, it was clearly explained.
